In the teaching profession, teachers need to be members in associations and organizations to remain competitive with new educational trends. At the same time, these teacher associations provide an avenue to network with other teachers and to provide professional and/or personal support. Teacher associations are staples in the teaching industry in any country or area. These should be well-organized and run to benefit the teacher-members for their professional growth and well-being. As with any industry, evolution and change are expected especially in the branch of education. Many philosophies that were practised before are now obsolete and not applicable to today’s learners. Therefore, these teacher associations aim to update and uphold the teaching profession no matter what generation it is.
