Outdoor Education for Children
If you have children, do not just let them play computer games or watch television all day long. Get them to do educational outdoor activities as well.
One fun thing to do is to go out and feed the birds. If you are living in the city, you can take your kids to a nature park. Prepare seeds or feeds for the birds. You can set these under the trees and watch the winged creatures eat while you sit on blankets. If you have trees near your home, you can show your children how to make bird feeders. This activity will surely open their minds to the names, colours, and habits of various birds in the vicinity.
Another great outdoor learning activity for your kids is planting. You have to give each of them a pot, a bag of soil, some seed, and plenty of advice about the benefits of growing things. With this, they are sure to learn more about plants, trees, sowing methods, fertilisers, and so on.
Overall, these activities will teach your children how to take care of the environment and give them various insights about the flora that grow in this earth.
