Learning from Performing Arts
It is sad to note that there are still people with archaic notion about education in such a way that learning can only be taken from two sources: school and books. Education is everywhere and can be learnt from many unconventional sources, including the performing arts. Indeed, there are valuable lessons and learning that can be grasped upon when you look closely and seriously at the dynamics of the actors with their co-actors and as well as their dynamics with the material and stage. Furthermore, you can take lessons at how a certain performance level is achieved with the combination of seemingly disjointed elements. Aside from theatrical shows, performing arts also include dancing, recital, poetry reading and orchestra. This only means that we really have so many potential sources and avenues of knowledge if only we try harder to be resourceful for them.
