While it is challenging to deal with special children, it can be more challenging when you teach them classroom lessons. Accordingly, the big key for any teacher of special children is to possess unrelenting patience and determination in teaching these kids. Other than that, it is important to note that special children find it far more difficult to grasp abstract concepts so it is much better to teach them things that they can actually see, smell and hear. See to it that class activities are shorter for special kids because they are distracted and annoyed too easily. Constantly throw in words of admiration to them if they are able to accomplish little things. Special kids have special needs that must be constantly met and checked for progress.
